Why Argentina?

Argentina, tucked into southeastern South America, invites you to its beautiful lands and beckons you to explore its countryside and traditions. Argentina is geographically divided into six regions: the Litoral Region, the North Region, the Cuyo Region, the Patagonia Region, the Cordoba Region and Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires.

In a nutshell

The Litoral Region of Argentina boasts large rivers, humid tropics, magnificent forests, national parks and extraordinary flora and fauna. This region is also home to Argentina’s Great Waters—“Igauzú” in the Guarani language—overflowing into one of the world’s wonders, the Igauzú Falls.
Argentina’s North Region features pre-Columbian cultures, mingled with ruins of natives’ villages, as well as forts and constructions dating back to the time of the conquest and colonization.
The Cuyo Region—“desert country” in the Indian language—is a region of high peaks, snow-covered volcanoes and the large wilderness spreading from the Andes mountain range to the steppe.
Argentina’s Patagonia Region features the Andes mountain range and forests full of native vegetable speice which extend along the shores of glistening waters. On top of the mountains, nature overflows with granite peaks and ice fields, spreading their glacier tongues into lakes of unsurpassable beauty. In the south of this region is Tierra del Fuego and the world’s southernmost city, Ushuaia, which is the gateway towards the vast and mysterious Antarctica.
Argentina’s Cordoba Region is one of the most important economic centers in the county. The city of Cordoba is both a cultural and tourist destination, a traditional and modern city with a hilly landscape and favorable weather conditions. Little towns, historical antiques and cave paintings are found in a pleasant valley landscape amidst high plains and gorges. Cordoba’s hills are part of the “Sierra Pampeanas” mountain range, reaching 2,790 meters high in the Campaqui hills. All of these hills are particularly appealing because of their fertile valleys, deserts and salt mines.
The capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, is one of the world’s biggest cities; there over 11 million inhabitants. It is also the most elegant and active city in South America. Buenos Aires has a modern, hip structure and dynamic atmosphere, while at the same time managing to preserve its old traditions. Visitors are fascinated by its many different neighborhoods and warm local people, and Buenos Aires has a wide range of shopping and cultural prospects.
